Communication Technology

Intralight Software data is transferred through Microsoft's OLE DB  http://www.microsoft.com/data/) technology to MS SQL Servers native XML processing facilities. (see below for a definition of OLE DB)

OLE DB

(OLE DataBase) A programming interface for data access from Microsoft. It is a COM object that functions in a similar manner to ODBC, but for every type of data source not just SQL databases. Applications can use OLE DB to access data sources directly or they can use OLE DB to call ODBC to access ODBC databases. OLE DB for OLAP is used to access OLAP databases. Microsoft's ActiveX Data Objects (ADO) is a set of COM objects that provides a simpler interface to OLE DB. See , ODBC, DAO and RDO.

PC Installation

Intralight uses DeployCenter software by PowerQuest Corp. for deploying an imaging CD.  Although sold as a single application, DeployCenter is a suite of utilities designed to simplify system deployment by duplicating and customizing system configurations across a network. Three basic elements come into play: system image creation, customization, and image propagation.
